The Lockout/Tagout is designed to completely disable the Prime Focus Boom from moving. The Lockout/Tagout will be used to prevent motion when service is required.

1 At the Feed Arm Servo Cabinet, locate the prime focus boom yellow lockout button which will say, PF Axis Lock-out and PF Boom Lock-out.
2 Push the yellow button in. This will cut off power to the prime focus boom only.
3 A lock will be placed on the latch that is now over the yellow button. The locks can be found in the red Lockout/Tagout box next to the phone. With the lock will be a tag explaining who is working on the prime focus boom and the reason why.

The breaker for the Prime Focus Boom will be in the receiver room. This breaker is on the Feed Arm Servo Cabinet. ( Filter Box or SCU cabinet ). D15 breaker ( switch ) turns the whole cabinet off and D17 breaker ( switch ) turns off the equipment for the lasers and the receiver equipment. These two breakers are in the grey panel box on the wall seperate from the Feed Arm Servo Cabinet.

Lockout/Tagout for Prime Focus Boom

General

The Lockout/Tagout is designed to completely disable the Prime Focus Boom from moving. The Lockout/Tagout will be used to prevent motion when service is required.

The breaker for the Prime Focus Boom will be in the receiver room. This breaker is on the Feed Arm Servo Cabinet. ( Filter Box or SCU cabinet ).

STEP ACTION
1 At the Feed Arm Servo Cabinet, locate the prime focus boom yellow lockout button which will say, PF Axis Lock-out and PF Boom Lock-out.
2 Push the yellow button in. This will cut off power to the prime focus boom only.
3 A lock will be placed on the latch that is now over the yellow button. The locks can be found in the red Lockout/Tagout box next to the phone. With the lock will be a tag explaining who is working on the prime focus boom and the reason why.
