  • Brief planned or expected maintenance.
  • Brief planned or expected visitors.
  • Brief special, temporary, or significant procedural changes since last shift.
  • Brief latest weather.
  • Brief any safety issues or special call-out requirements.
  • Log out of Ops Log and print/post shift summary. 
2 On-coming operator upon assuming shift:
  • Continue scheduled observing or maintenance programs.
  • Check parameters associated with current observing routine if in progress.
  • Check status of servo systems / electronics / cryogenics.
  • Check weather.
  • Check listening post stations.
  • Login to Ops Log.
  • Complete other duties as required.
