Calibration Meeting for April 26, 2006

Proposed agenda:

Beforehand, all had copies of detailed documents on the first three items

Minutes:

We discussed in detail the various aspects of the three documents.

Karen suggested, and we unanimously agreed, that we do not want a GFM-Tipping algorithm. The document for the proposed GFM-Tip routine will become the starting point for designing the GBTIDL tip algorithm. We then went through that document with this change in mind.

Here are links to these three documents. I've added the revisions that were suggested at the meeting. The GFM-Tip document is here for historical/documentary purposes. Revising that document for specifying the GBTIDL algorithm will happen soon.

All of us should feel free to edit the "Tip Strategies" page

We discussed the need for an MR that handles balancing for the proposed case that one uses the AFR-DCR samplers for tips.

We also briefly discussed a possible way to actually measure eta_fss on the GBT by doing pointings but we didn't have enough time to fully explore this topic. We'll get back to this at some point.
