GB . Data . GbtFits

GBT data begins life as a series of raw FITS files written by each device manager into the project directory of the observer.

A typical data set is organized as follows:

/home/gbtdata/projectname

The project name is a directory tree containing the following directories, each with FITS files from that device:

Antenna
GO
IF
LO1A
LO1B
Rcvr2_3 (or other receiver-specific directories)
backends - can be any combination of:
- DCR
- Spectrometer
- SpectralProcessor
- Holography * ScanLog.fits - this is a file containing references to all of the files generated by the devices for each scan.
