28 Jul 2005 - 800 - 1500, 2100 - 2300: fixed GBTIDL: too many rows index problem, PATCH file. Fixed SDFITS spectrometer center if problem for GBTIDL. Got Jim up to date on project. Started looking at GBTILD unit tests again, reviewed every test and data file, and created plan for refactoring.
29 Jul 2005 - 800 - 1200, 1530 - 1830: Moved all io data to gbtidl/tests/data/io, got rid of redundant tests, and modified tests so that after unit tests run, no non-CVS files are left in the directoy (they clean up after themselves). All filenames come from one function.

Correctly implemented in spectral proc. class for GFM plugin.
31 Aug 2005 - 700 - 900, 1300 - 1600, 1900 - 2400: Got up and running GFM Spectral line plugin! GUI works - except View, Overlay, and Clear buttons. integration off by one. Phases not being used (always set to zero). Only displaying the ACF/Channel option right now. Wahoo! 2 hours of data analysis and IDL meetings.

9 Sep 2005 - 800 - 1400: Finished Van Vleck recoding!!! Fixed GFM Spectral line gui: overlay, clear, annotations. Can even view cross polarziation stuff!

16 Sep 2005 - 800 - 1500: four hours of test time showed that online prob was NOT solved. Unit tests show that the fql query result contains a copy of the fql connection, so this must be deleted as well before the connection can get refreshed.

Found that refactoring using PortTable? and new Receiver.Calibration class can greatly improve sdfits/GFM I/O performance.
1 Nov 2005 - 800 - 1500, 2000 - 2400: Created new Rcvr Calibration class for reading in rcvr cal info. implemented its use, along with Port Table in Spectrometer Banks to init Spectrometer objects with. This improved performance by a factor of two. Updated these changes into /home/sparrow/llama2. Fixed a few GBTIDL bugs and keep index robustness tests seem to pass. sddev lunch.
2 Nov 2005 - 800 - 1200, 1400 - 1800, 1900 - 2200: Worked on GBTIDL/SDFITS version 1.2. Six hours supporting observing problems with sdfits slowness - conluded that it is no slower then usual and that the Rcvr algorithms is the killer.
3 Nov 2005 - 800 - 1500: finished up SDFITS/GBTIDL version 1.2 work - new columns and backend values, a few bug fixes.
4 Nov 2005 - 730 - 1400:

7 Nov 2005 - 830 - 1500, 2000 - 2400: changed Project class to cache Rcvr Calibration objects. GFM taking advantage of this. Checked in new benchmarks for sparrow/gbt/api and sdfits, so that when sdfits get's optimized, we can see the difference.
