Procedures and Notes to Self...

Routine procedures:

• start QD logging -- filename ccbQd05mar06 (or whatever)
• get a zero level measurement!
• Ask operator to start 5-minute no-new-scan alarm!!!

Common Issues and Fixes

• We should as a matter of course request that the operator restart turtle at the start of a run
• When turtle hangs the typical order of fix attempts is: restart turtle; restart grail; look into scan coordinator issues (restart scan coordinator manager)...
• We use the archivist to log weather data, and the archivist sometimes gets into a confused state that is indicated by an error message like "Archivist inhibited activate because of illegal value". This can be fixed by editing /home/gbt/etc/config/dap.conf and changing the first line to "count := 0". You need the monctrl password to do this -- the operator can do it for you.
