Dynamic Decisions for September 28, 2007 - October 1, 2007

Introduction

The scheduler's absence very often dictates that someone monitor the daily scheduling decisions (dynamic and otherwise) and communicate these decisions to the appropriate staff and observers. This procedure is described in more detail at Daily scheduling procedures .

The scheduler will be absent September 28 - October 1, 2007 inclusive and will be in the office October 1, 2007 at 08:00. I will be in email contact (cbignell@nrao.edu).

It is important to realize that the high frequency observer is responsible for contacting either the scheduler, or in his absence, the on-duty support person by the required time for each observing slot his project has been assigned. When the scheduler is absent please send your email decisions to Ron Maddalena (rmaddale@nrao.edu), gbtops@gb.nrao.edu and copies to the scheduler in addition to the support person.

Backup Low Frequency observers would normally contact the scheduler if there were any questions about the decision or schedule. In the absence of the scheduler please contact the current support person.

Both the high frequency and low frequency observers are responsible for filling in the the remote observing information web page for his/her project when they are observing remotely.

While the scheduler is absent general scheduling questions should be addressed either to the on-duty support staff or Ron Maddalena (rmaddale@nrao.edu).

Daily Schedules

The following table organizes the schedule by the date and time when the decisions for the high frequency observers must be communicated to NRAO. Those listed under the High Freq part are the observers who must make the decisions and those under the Low Freq section are additional observers who will be affected. The projects listed under Fixed/Static would not change unless there are extremely unusual (rare) circumstances and the observer would be contacted if this were the case. Also not any dates given in square brackets refer to projects which have paired days; there is a date preceded by an L or F. L indicates that the current slot is the first of a paired set and the second (last) day is given by the date following the L. Similar for F but it specifies the first of the paired days.
