CITRIX ROME SERVER ACCESS

General

Citrix Metaframe and the GBT Citrix server provide us with two important capabilities. First, Citrix Metaframe allows us to run Windows (PC) type programs in a Unix/Linux environment without the use of a Windows emulator. Second, by using the GBT Citrix server, we make programs like OpsLog available site wide without having to install these programs on every workstation.

Info

OpsLog is located on the GBT Citrix Server and can be accessed via a PC or Unix/Linux workstation. The steps below assume the Citrix Metaframe program is installed on your workstation.

Logging on to the GBT Citrix Server (PC)

STEP ACTION
1 Select the Application Set Manager icon from the START menu or desktop link. After the window opens, select Custom ICA Connection then GBT Citrix Server (a window will launch with a login screen).
2 Login as gbtops or with your own Windows username/password.
3 Once logged in, select and run OpsLog or other windows programs as needed.
