Lockout/Tagout for Lower Manlift

General

The Lockout/Tagout procedure is designed to completely disable the lower manlift (manlift 1) from moving. Lockout/Tagout will be used when servicing is required or for repairs.

STEP ACTION
1 Turn off manlift #1 480 volt breaker. This breaker is located at the 1st level of the antenna in front of the lower manlift. The breaker is clearly marked, 480 volts.
2 Pull the handle down. There is only one handle on this box and it will say, " Service Disconnect ". This will cut off all power to the manlift.
3 A lock will be placed through the handle to prevent the handle from being moved or turned back on. Include with the lock a tag expalining who is working on the manlift and why.
