TELESCOPE OPERATIONS

Lockout/Tagout for Prime Focus Boom

General

The Lockout/Tagout is designed to completely disable the Prime Focus Boom from moving. Lockout/Tagout will be used to prevent motion when service is required.

STEP ACTION
1 At the SCU Cabinet, locate the prime focus boom yellow lockout button marked PF Axis Lock-out and PF Boom Lock-out
2 Push the yellow button IN (cuts off power to the prime focus boom only)
3 Place a lock on the latch moved over the yellow button. Locks can be found in the red Lockout/Tagout box next to the phone. Include with the lock a tag explaining who is working on the prime focus boom and why.
