| 1 | Contact the VLBA tape (disk pack) librarian at Socorro (vlbatape@aoc.nrao.edu) and request disk packs. They are usually shipped via FedEx. Proceed to step 2 when they arrive. |
| 2 | Update web based tracking program (http://magnolia.nrao.edu/track/ (login: gbvlba (track)). On the page "Tape Tracking Home Page for GB - Shipping and Receiving", press the Receive a Shipment button. Follow instructions provided. |

| NOTE | Disk packs may hold more than one project. The disk packs are normally shipped only after they are full unless otherwise directed by Frank. |
| 1 | Dismount the disk pack and install the protective covers if available. |
| 2 | Ensure the disk pack label has the red dot applied, loaded/unloaded times, and project information complete. |
| 3 | Note the disk pack serial number and project information for step 5. |
| 4 | Take the disk pack to the shipping room. Sherry or one of the office staff will handle shipping the box via FedEx and supply us with the tracking number. |
| 5 | Update the web based tracking program: |
| NOTE | Enter disk pack serial numbers verbatim as indicated on the bar code label on each disk pack. |
