  1. Keep the wiki pages on Commissioning history and Commissioning experiments up to date at all times.
  2. Characterize offset pointing performance before/after azimuth track refurbishment

  3. Characterize Ka/CCB nod performance and Mustang daisy petal performance after servo improvements
     • Turn on tanh() term in friction compensation before Mustang is mounted on Tues Dec 11 (Joe)
     • Put QD in the archivist during Mustang runs (Brian)
  4. FluxCalibrationandMonitoring
     • Produce gain curves at Ka band
     • Update old gain curves not yet linked on Gain Performance page (L,X,Ku)
     • Decide on proper use of the Cal signals for Ka/CCB
     • Measure and produce new gain curve at K band (has never been done with Zernike terms enabled)

  1. Characterize tracking error after azimuth track refurbishment (see final plots on the CurrentPerformanceFall2007 page)
     • Compare zero wind performance now vs with the old track (Todd)

     • Examine performance at two different non-zero wind speeds
       • plots at 5m/s from September 15, 2007
       • Look at 30 sec scan off-source to assess the level of receiver gain fluctuations (Todd)
     • Compute average deviation during 20 sec periods of 30 minute half-power track, and plot vs average wind speed during the 20 sec period (Todd, as suggested by Jim)
  2. Need to really check the quality of our mapping. Make a fully sampled beam map of a Condon double, after peaking up on a calibrator say five degrees away. Check how well the observed J2000 positions of both doubles match predicted. I think this is quite a high priority task; to my knowledge GBT staff have never really checked this. Write up as a project note. Frank has written Project Note 57.
