* DIFFAMP -- this is the average difference, Beam1 minus Beam2 for
the 34.75 GHz channel, this being the closest to the
33 GHz that was used to calculate the FWHM.
This is the average after dropping the first 10 seconds of the scan.
** slope is simply calculated from the difference in the 0.6 and 0.4 FWHM offsets.
Use Brian's program "readccbotfnod.pro" to get the data.
Modified his program slightly to not object to the "Track" scan type.
Averaged the (Beam 1 - Beam 2) with minus (Beam 2 - Beam 1).
The four calibrations (+az, -az, +el, -el ) were fairly consistent
except for the -az in which, as one can see from the above lists,
the -0.4, -0.5, and -0.6 amplitudes were inconsistent with the other
calibrations. Whether this was due to the cloudy conditions or pointing error
in unclear.
Plots of the half power tracks used a slope of 30 counts/".
This is an average of the values listed above, ignoring the anomalous -az value.
- Scan 23 (+az) half-power track:
- Scan 34 (+el) half-power track:
- Scan 45 (-az) half-power track:
- Scan 58 (-el) half-power track:
These plots show the wind speeds in M/Sec during the 4 half-power scans.
One may note that there were some gusts up to 7 m/s in scan 45, which may explain
the anomalous calibration and the high rms pointing error.
