Mark III Firmware Tracking

Who's Using What

UPenn is using: v11 dfb; standard clock; 12/22 IX (?); and Debian 2.4.27 ("old" debian.... without the highmem patch that lets more memory get used) -- as of 10jul06

NRAO is using: v9 dfb; standard clock; 12/22 IX. and Red Hat Enterprise-III with 2.4.31 kernel with bigphysmem patch and highmem option; 1GB main memory -- as of 10jul06

GSFC is using: v9 and v12 (unreleased) dfb; standard clock; ?? IX; Debian Sarge with 2.4.27 kernel with highmem patch; XGB main memory. 22aug07: I think GSFC is using a new version of the tower address card firmware.

Address Card Firmware Versions

don't have it. MUSTANG is using some version of the address card firmware. The latest firmware version is different (uses Grey code addressing) and our Mark III IRC is not compatible with it (Steve Maher email, 22aug07). It would be good to have an identifier, and the code, for the version we are using.
